The facts, including the awkward ones.
Everything here is checkable. Where a number would flatter us and is not true yet, it is not here.
In one sentence
Timegrove is an iPhone app that keeps the things you want to remember on a timeline and draws that timeline as a tree that grows with what you keep.
In one paragraph
You plant memories — 13 kinds of them, from a photo to a height in centimetres to a letter sealed for twenty years — on a timeline, and the timeline is drawn as a tree. 32 templates give a new tree a shape to start from; 8 species and 3 timeline styles decide how it looks. Everything stays on the phone: no accounts, no ads, and no servers belonging to us, because there are none. Getting your things out is free and unlimited in two open formats.
Facts
- Platform: iOS 18.6 or later. iPhone only today.
- Languages: English and Vietnamese, in the app and on this site.
- Free tier: 3 trees, 100 memories each, all 13 kinds, the Rail timeline, unlimited JSON and .tmln export.
- Premium: $19.99 a year or $59.99 once, with a 7-day trial.
- Sample content: 32 ready-made groves with 874 memories between them, planted in one tap.
- No analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK in the app.
What it does not do
- No multi-device sync. iCloud is a backup — a .tmln file in your own iCloud Drive — not a live sync between phones.
- No Android version, and no date for one.
- No sharing, no feed, no other people. A grove has exactly one reader.
- No streaks, and no reminders that guilt you into keeping one.
- No download or rating numbers to quote yet. When there are real ones, they will be here.
